High school teacher, Rainer Wegner, may be popular with the students, but he's also unorthodox. He's forced to teach autocracy for the school's project week. He's less than enthusiastic at first, but the response of the students is surprising to say the least. He forces the students to become more invested in the prospect of self rule, and soon the class project has its own power and eerily starts to resemble Germany's past. Can Wegner and his class realize what's happening before the horrors start repeating themselves?

1980, West Germany. Frank Lehmann is drafted into the Bundeswehr because he neglected to object. As his petty-bourgeois pa claims his room for TV repairs, Frank moves in with hippie squatters in his natal Bremen. Just as in the army, his big mouth and naive honesty keep causing trouble. He's appointed unit spokesman and shows courage standing up for a virtual deserter. Back home, pacifists keep blaming him as if he volunteered. Trouble at the Berlin Wall changes a lot.

Cèneyt KayaAfter killing two skinheads in a failed operation against NeoNazis, young undercover intelligence agent Daniel finds a hiding place and new friends in Berlins Turkish Arab community. Realistic and witty, Berlin filmmaker Cueneyt Kaya shows the rapprochement of two worlds which seem violently opposed. 'I always wanted to tell a story set in the Islamic culture in Germany from a realistic, critical and humorous perspective. Too often stories about Muslims and migrants are reduced to Taliban, headscarves, youth violence, and several other stereotypes. The world I grew up in, however, is entirely different. Its determined by family ties, caring for each other and the struggle you face if you want to maintain your identity as a Muslim of Turkish origin in Western society.' (Cueneyt Kaya)
