Fullplot:

Licenziato dai padroni della miniera presso cui lavora come responsabile dei servizi culturali, Luciano Bianchi decide di vendicarsi, anche per scuotere l'opinione pubblica sulla morte di alcuni minatori avvenuta in una grave sciagura sul lavoro. Raggiunge perciè Milano, con l'intento di far saltare con la dinamite la sede centrale della miniera. In cittè conosce Anna, giovane corrispondente di un giornale di sinistra, della quale s'innamora. Per poter sopravvivere nella metropoli, senza lavoro, Luciano si arrangia a fare il traduttore per una casa editrice; ma, dopo un pè, trova la sua ispirazione nel produrre e realizzare spot pubblicitari. A successful business man occasionally develops an unusual physical disturbance: his nose whistles, whenever he breathes. Because of this peculiar circumstance, he enters a private, luxurious hospital. The whistle is cured, but new problems, real or unreal, are discovered by the hospital's staff. The man loses his confidence and vitality progressively. In a steady progression, he is first requested, then forced to move from one floor to another. Italy 1973. Giuseppe Tritoni (Ugo Tognazzi) is an ultra-right-wing congressman that doesn't agree anymore with his fascist party policy. He contacts many Italian Army officers and built a net of relationship in order to organize a Coup d'Etat (Golpe). Something goes wrong and the Interior Minister (Home Secretary) Mr. Li Masi (Lino Pugliesi) got the all information about the attempted Golpe. So the Minister organizes a counter-Golpe. Necchi (a bar owner), Perozzi (a journalist), Melandri (an architect) and Mascetti (a broken nobleman) live in Florence.
