Fullplot:

Cesare Botero (Nanni Moretti) is a young minister well-known to be corrupted and corrupter. He is looking for an appropriate spokesman. He finds the right person in Prof. Luciano Sandulli (Silvio Orlando). Sandulli is a very good and polite person, he is positive and full of hopes, but unluckily his economic position is disastrous. So he immediately accepts the new job. He has to write all the speeches of the minister, and soon became a sort of mentor. In fact his first impact with Rome and his politician world is positive, Sandulli is really convinced the young minister want really change the situation working for the common interest. Fullplot:

Ultimo giorno di scuola in un Istituto superiore romano ed ultime interrogazioni prima degli scrutini finali. Inoltre, bisogna festeggiare un'anziana insegnante che va in pensione. Gli insegnanti ricordano l'anno scolastico che si sta concludendo ed il tempo trascorso a scuola e con gli studenti: durante lo scrutinio alcuni vorrebbero promuoverli tutti, mentre altri sono contrari. Inoltre, gli insegnanti ricordano il viaggio scolastico fatto a Verona con la classe: forse era scoppiato l'amore fra qualche docente. Fullplot:

Two brothers come of age in the 1960s in a town south of Rome. Manrico is handsome, sometimes feckless, a leftist making the revolution. His younger brother Accio ("Bully") is a seminarian when the story beings, soon home studying Latin and joining the Fascists. Francesca, an aristocratic student, becomes Manrico's lover and Accio's friend. Fullplot:

Claudio, a construction worker, works on a site in the suburbs of Rome. He is madly in love with his wife who is pregnant with their third child. However, when he finds the remains of an illegal immigrant under the site and doesn't report it, fearing he'll be out of a job if construction comes to a halt, it upsets his simple and happy life. In a rage for life, Claudio energetically fights against the injustice that fell upon him.
