Circa British rule over India in the year 1942 where Indians are either revolutionaries or supporters of the British. In the midst there is wealthy Narendra Singh alias Naren whose romance with a poor yet beautiful girl, Rajeshwari Pathak alias Rajjo brew changes over the entire scenario but unfortunately there are complications in their relationship as Naren's father, Diwan Hari Singh is an informer of the British, who for his loyalty attain the title of Mayor while Rajjo's father, Raghuvir Pathak is one of the many Indians who are revolutionaries against the British with a motive of a free India.

Goa based Joseph Braganza and his wife Flavy, devout Catholics, are both deaf and mute. He makes a living selling soap bars door to door. Flavy gets pregnant and gives birth to a daughter who they name Annie, who can speak and hear much to their delight. Flavy soon gives birth to a son, Sam, who can also hear and speak. A few years later, Sam accidentally passes away, making Joseph lose faith. Joseph, unable to make a living selling soap, opens a toy making factory and the family prospers. Annie grows up, takes to music and singing in a great way, meets with a young man named Raj and both fall in love. Joseph dislikes Raj, mainly because he is Hindu, is able to speak and hear, not a resident of Goa, and the fear of losing Annie forever and thus their contact with the world. Jaisingh lives in India with his son, Sahil, who dislikes his father. Things only get worse between father and son, when Jaisingh wants him to get married to Sheetal, a woman he has chosen to be his daughter-in-law. Unemployed Aftab is into unlawful activities; one day he attempt to grab a consignment of arms and ammunitions that is being supplied to terrorists on the Indo-Pak border. When he find that he is being followed he decides to destroy the consignment only to be recognized by the terrorists. Meanwhile he goes to arrange his marriage with his beloved, Ruksana where-by questions arise about his biological father; questions that he or his mother, Mariam are unable to provide answer for thus the marriage plans became nulled. Shortly after Ramakant passes away and Aftab gets to meet his step-brother, Dhananjay alias Jai who is quite resentful towards Aftab and his mother. Meanwhile Aftab and Mariam are apprehend and tortured by the same terrorists whose booty were destroyed by Aftab; without a choice Aftab is forced to call Jai for help. Fortunately Jai do agree after Aftab pleads with him and soon both are on the run from not only the terrorists but the local police who accuses the duo of being hand in gloved with the terrorists.
